ছয় বছরের লাবণীর মা ছিলেন বাক্প্রতিবন্ধী। তাই প্রায় এক বছর আগে তাঁকে তালাক দেন বাবা। মা তাকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে যেতে চেয়েছিলেন। কিন্তু দেওয়া হয়নি। কিছুদিনের মধ্যেই বাবা আরেকটি বিয়ে করেন। ঘরে সৎমা আসার পর লাবণীর ঠাঁই হলো গোয়ালঘরে। সেখানে তাকে রশি দিয়ে বেঁধে রাখা হতো। লাবণীকে এই বন্দীদশা থেকে গতকাল শনিবার উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে।
খুলনার ডুমুরিয়া উপজেলা সদরের আইতলা গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। শিশু লাবণীর প্রতি অবহেলা ও তাকে শারীরিক নির্যাতনের অভিযোগে তার বাবা আফজাল খান, সৎমা রুপা বেগম ও দাদি মর্জিনা বেগমকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। লাবণীকে পাঠানো হয়েছে খুলনার শেখ রাসেল পুনর্বাসন কেন্দ্রে। 

                                                   

Mother of six year old girl Laboni was dumb. 
This is what her father divorced her mother about a year ago and soon tied knot with another woman. 
Dumb woman wanted to take Laboni with her but could not as her father disagreed. 
However, soon after second marriage of her father Laboni was confined to cow shed by her step mother. 
She was kept there tied with rope. 
Laboni has been rescued on Saturday, 04 Nov. 2017.
This is a heart breaking incident that took place at Aitola village under Dumuria upazilla in Khulna district of Bangladesh. 
Father, step mom and grand mom have been accused of going injustice against child Laboni and they are now behind the bar.
The concerned Police Administration has sent Laboni to Sheikh Rasel Rehabilitation centre in Khulna.
